Building civil projects safely, “Together with Earth”
Wici Askiy (Wee-Chi Ask-ee) means “Together with Earth” in Cree. We will work together with earth to build projects safely and commit to give back what we take from our operations.
Wici Askiy North was designed to link the experience and knowledge of both Wici Askiy Construction Ltd. and Heavy North Construction Ltd. This business is majority Indigenous-owned where both partners develop and share in the ownership and control of our projects. Both organizations share core values based on integrity, honesty, and transparency.
We are a general civil contractor that can provide construction services across multiple industry sectors. From site clearing through to reclamation, Wici Askiy North leverages our founding partners’ experience to ensure every project is a success by completing them safely while on time and on budget.
We strive to serve the local communities we work in through training, employment, and economic growth. Our civil construction contracts will generate economic benefits for the Cold Lake First Nation community through revenue, paid wages and the contracting of local Indigenous businesses. Wici Askiy North is located and operated on traditional territory within the Cold Lake region. By employing businesses and personnel who know the local conditions, we can provide our clients with products and services that are best suited to the unique climate and conditions.BUILDING CAPACITY
